Hey, everyone! Yesterday I had someone who saw my long hair approach me and tell me all about this forum. She says you guys are awesome, so here I am! (Psst, if that was you, be sure to say hi!)

I’ve had long hair most of my life. In elementary school, I could sit on my hair, which was fun but also a nuisance because of those awful metal bolts on the chairs, lol. I got my first hair cut when I was twelve, and a couple of years later I got a short bob. I always hated my hair when it was shorter, and I felt like salons always cut too much off, so when I started college, I switched to trimming it minimally myself. No regrets, and I’ve never looked back! I’m 28 now, and my hair is almost long enough to sit on again.

I’m very low maintenance about my hair, but I look forward to having this community and learning all your hair care wisdom!

Welcome aboard! I remember those hair-eating bolts in school. Ouch! And sometimes the desks would have splintered chunks in the corners so you could catch your hair on them too, more ouch!
