I always do my hair all the way form roots to the tips. I think only doing the roots is just to complicated for me. Doing it al the ways seems much easier.
Hi, I'm wondering how often the henna users do a full henna - not just roots or a gloss? For the last year or two, I only do a gloss on the roots for my grays once every 2+ months... but my goal is to do a full henna or hendigo on ALL my hair once or twice a year. With my sister's help...

I always do my hair all the way form roots to the tips. I think only doing the roots is just to complicated for me. Doing it al the ways seems much easier.
When I started, I did my whole head every time. It was so short, that was really all I could do!
As soon as it got long enough, I started making little ponytails, coating the ends with conditioner, and letting them stick out of it. I'll continue with roots only, and probably cut the henna with more cassia to keep the color fairly light.
henna keeps it red, and red makes me happy.

I voted every 6-12 months, but it's really something like every 18-24 months.
I do nearly a full henna every time I do it (it's less thorough towards the tips), my hair's happier saturated than lightly coloured, plus the colour's easier to wear purple with.

I do my roots about once a month, but I haven't done the full length for probably a couple of years at least. My hair is now about waist length, and applying henna to all of it seems like a huge chore.
I do my roots once a month, and every 6-12 months bottom half of the length seems to fade. I have waist length brown and grey hair, the grey ones get lighter at the ends and don't blend with my brown as much. I used to do a full head every 6-12 months, but this time only below my neck was faded, so I put it in a pony at my neck and did everything below the pony.
I don't want that burgundy color for myself, that's why I don't do it more often. I use 2/3 henna 1/3 cassia.

Well when I first starting using henna I went totally nuts and did a full application every month for six months and my hair got way waaayy too dark. Now what I do is henna/cassia, like a 10/90 mix all over my head every three or four months. I do full henna maybe once every two years now. My hair is already red I just love the glossy thickness I get with henna and cassia doesn't seem to cut it for me in that department
I do a full henna everytime, but only the roots get the henna colour. My length is henndigo'ed and a mixture of black and brown. I just apply it all over because it's easier and I always make too much henna. I could freeze the left-overs, but I'd rather just use all of it. Also, my length gets a lovely red shine when it's sunny outside, and I actually have gotten some burgundy and red 'highlights' in my length after the henna applications
I forgot to add how often I do this. It's usually every 1-2 months, or when I get around to doing it.

I do full henna every month or so, but my hair is pretty much black and only ever shows henna in bright sunshine which we dont see here in the UK too often so I'm not worried about colour saturation.
I like the strengthening properties.
