help with pictures

AGHHHHHHHH! I am technically challengedand I was very excited to open my photobucket account and get an avatar today. I did manage to load images to photobucket but I cannot get them to an avatar. I have copied/pasted the image url, and made sure the pictures were an acceptable size--what am I doing wrong??

Maybe you could try saving the picture to your computer, then uploading it, instead of using the URL option.

I can't use an image from photobucket as my avatar; I had to upload it directly from my computer, same with the signature picture. Try that.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I made my 15 y/o come in to help--she couldn't get them off of photobucket either (which made me feel slightly better), but we did load them directly from the computer. I feel better now
