Default The claw clip appreciation thread!

Hi y'all! So I really like claw clips and in honor of their awesomeness I wanted to start a thread. I love claw clips because they're like hair things 101. It's hard to eff up a claw clip (though I've done it). They're cheap. Cons: they break, they can be too small.

Anywho here's a picture of my pretties:

Good idea for a thread! I really like the top one, it looks like a marbled butterfly!

I love my claw clips more and more these days. I do a cinnabun atop my head and two smallish ones on either side. Its toddler proof, and with all the headaches I've been getting lately, it helps disperse the tension, which makes it them that much more valuable to me.

I was looking at some really pretty polka dotted ones at Ulta the other day. I think I'll just hop over there sometime and get them.

I LOVE claw clips too! So easy to use and hold good for me. I just started using the teeny tiny mini clear claw clips to hold back my "bangs"

I love claw clips too!! I have cheap plain one scattered around the house for whenever my hair is in the way, and I had some fanc ones but they died. I thought they were kind of frowned upon here? Not! Hooray for claw clips, consider me a fan! I need to buy some. Hmmmmm

I've been bunning my hair in a claw clip everyday for the past 2 months. They're my favorite go to for a lazy day around the house.

I have exactly one, but I love it! I only use it for a cinnabun because I don't know what else to do with it, but it holds like a rock! I found a couple sites selling gorgeous claw clips for super cheap, but I haven't bitten the bullet and bought anything yet.

....did that mean you've had nothing but lazy days around the house for 2 months?

There's also a LOT of the jewelled clips to be found on ebay, for very little. I really need to restock on clips, so if someone has a secret fantastic seller...?

Edit: LARKY! THAT SITE... I DIE! Ooooooh what gorgeousness!!!! Those plastic clips.... I foresee me being broke in the near future.

I've started to appreciate claw clips because they hold so well. I'd love to get some colourful ones but I only see black and brown sold in local stores. What about those octopus clips, how do you use them (which updos)? I have one (medium size) but I'm struggling to make it work. Maybe it's a wrong size..?

I seem to only wear zig zag claw clips. I have sticks & forks, and other interesting things, but nothing is ever comfortable or holds that well.
These have been my HG for like 10 years now. Impossible to find, so when I do see them, I buy dozens I have the big ones & the smaller ones.
Other claw clips never hold my hair, only these & I have tried them all!!

Yay, a claw clip thread! I'm completely addicted to claw clips in all sizes these days, they're so pretty, and I love how well they hold my hair. I get most of my clips from ebay, because there are pretty much no fun-coloured clips around here, only black and brown.
