I love your curls Aspen! No idea on how to fix the tangly problem.

Just found myself looking through old pics and dang my hair was so short back in Dec '11 right after I cut off like, four inches? So it was about shoulder length. It's the only pic I have of some of my hair from behind to show length difference. Compared to now:

Well I took a bunch of photos of my face today, and my hair was looking nice, although I didn't take any of the length...the flash of the camera made it look extra shiny, which I'm not sure is it's regular state since flash also makes me look less tired, my eyes lighter, etc. But oh well :/

Here's my attempt today at cocoon curls. They look really nice here. However, when I went to try to gently brush each curl section into a softer curl, I got horrible tangled messes at the ends of each section. Took me 15 minutes to get un-tangled with my Tangle Teezer and because I felt so bad, I smothered my hair in Jojoba oil and put it back up in a safe bun. =/
Anyone have any ideas on how to not get the ends all tangly like that? Because I really like how these looked...curls like that are like dreamy to me with my pin straight hair. Plus they fluff i hair out to look like there's more!

Beautiful curls! For the tangles, I wouldn't brush curls like that, ever! use a wide-tooth comb at most, preferably finger-comb if you have to. I think it turned into a mess especially because the curls were quite tight, so you might have more success with looser curls

Last night was the spring formal at our school. I'm not one to be opposed to using heat on my hair in very special occasions, and I felt this fit the bill, so here are some pictures of me with ridiculous curly hair.

Don't worry; a copious amount of heat protectant was used, and my hair is currently soaked in oil. Back to perfectly healthy in no time. (:

Well I was experimenting yesterday on hairstyles and wanted something Downton Abbey-ish. I found this online - on Youtube - Lady Mary Downton Abbey Inspired Harstyle (thanks to TheLongHairedFlapper ). I tried it out and got this: (didn't use any rats, though):



Then tried it this morning again, takes only 5 minutes to do:





I like it and the assistant at the chemist's this morning said, "Oh, you do such amazing things with your hair," so that made my day really...
