That's really interesting. I used to eat millet for breakfast about twice a week, but don't anymore because I'm not fond of it. I'll have to try that, though. Thank you!

I think my mom makes flat bread out this flour. I am just a bit confused between "jowar" and "bajri" I will have to ask my mom.

" Millets are major food sources in arid and semi-arid regions of the world, and feature in the traditional cuisine of many others. In Western India, Sorghum (called "Jowar" in Gujarati and Marathi) has been commonly used with millet flour called "Bajari" in Western India) flour for hundreds of years to make the local staple flat bread (called "Rotla" in Gujarati or "Bhakri" in Marathi).'
    thanks for posting.

See I eat oatmeal every morning, I'm getting kind of bored with it but i want something that is good for me.

Also i like to eat lots of veggie dishes, for example, last night i cooked up yellow squash. I didnt feel like eating it with meat mixed in or pasta and was way to lazy to make rice. And this millet sounds healthier then all the options for "beefing" up my veggies dishes. Am i right?

I thought "millet" sounded familiar - you can make Tabouli with it, which I LOVE!!!

It's basically a type of salad that is chopped into smaller bits and doesn't use lettuce(although you can eat it with lettuce), you use tomato, onion, millet or bulghur, scallions, parsley... Well, there's a full recipe here:

If you don't like the taste of millet you can try this salad which is yummy! You won't taste as much of the millet.

    Hope that helps.

There are different kinds with different Latin names, but it's called "hirs" in Swedish (yay to Wikipedia!).
