LOL only real men can wear a pink shirt, cuddle and coo at tiny kittens or wear a silk sleep bonnet to keep their awesome man mane in good shape.

DH does the first two, but sadly not enough hair for the third.

Funny, DH had to get a Sensi scented candle system last weekend for the shop at his work. But he doesn't do pink shirts.

He should be wearing a kilt on Saturday though (at Ren Faire).

Other than those rare exceptions, well, most people and stuff around my house (including me) are pretty butch. Well, I'm just not very girly.

I've really wanted one of those, and now you've given me a new excuse. I want to see my DBF wearing one. It would be so funny.
(Not that men shouldn't wear them if they want. He is just very beardy and wear very old/tatty/punk clothes)

Yes, I'm sure also that it's not very "metal" (that's his music/ style) of DH to don such an item. Ah well. He says he is "an inndividual" anyway as he is like the only one expressing himself at concerts by wearing zero piercings or tattoos. Culture/ counter-culture, ha!

Me: (looks for silk bonnet that I had placed on ironing board randomly) where is my silk sleep cap? Oh, you moved it, OK, I see it now.

Husband: I need one of those.

Me: (unphased, thinking that he is playing) Well, I have a second one.

Husband: Would it help me? I should start wearing one. My hair really tangles up while I am sleeping.

Me: (stops, stares, unblinking) I. Must. Post. This. Now.

My husband decided he like satin pillowcases because they made his hair less tangly lol.

Watching the news on TV this evening:

SO - Look at that newsreader's hair! (shoulder length bob)
ME - What about it?
SO - It looks all greasy!
Me - It's probably full of gloop, hairspray and backcombed. You wouldn't get a comb through it.
SO - It's not even shiny!
Me -It should look shiny with all those lights in the TV studio.
SO - Yours looks shiny and healthy, hers just looks damaged and - DISEASED.
Me - (after laughing)She probably spends a couple of hours in the hairdresser chair before coming on TV.
SO - You mean they make her look that way on purpose? Will she wash all the gunk out before she goes to bed?
Me - She might - or might not.
SO - EEEWWWWW!!! I wouldn't go anywhere near HER pillow!
Me - She likely gets it done every day like that ready for going on TV.
SO - So it would just be part of her job then, getting all that done?
Me - Very likely.
SO - You should teach her how to get her hair looking nice.

Sadly, my SO doesn't really realize that my home-cut, shiny, oiled and maybe sometimes slightly limp hair really is way healthier (in theory, at least) than movie star hair Oh well, if he wanted to date a moviestar he wouldn't have let him be conquered by me. *shrug*

He is very sweet! It always surprises me when he observes hair around him. Perhaps he listens when I waffle on about haircare, not expecting him to listen. He often says sweet things about my hair too...

He is often surprised when I tell him some of the things LHCers put in their hair, lol.

He calls LHCers "Hairies", as in "Are you talking to your hairies again today?" He thinks it's all rather eccentric but cute.

He sounds like a lovely man... It's great the way he seems to get so interested in hair care, simply because it's something you care about!

Sarah, my not-boyfriend (long story) is like your fiance. He is well-trained. He's terrible at keeping me from buying hair stuff, though.
