I think there are those that can trim their own hair and those that should just step away from the scissors...

Luckily, I think mine will grow out okay. I can try to ignore the other side or turn it into a face framing thing as it grows out.. I was planning on keeping side swept bangs because I have a strange hairline that makes me look like I'm balding without them. I was just mad that I went through the trouble of growing out my badly self trimmed bangs and now they look dumb again.

You could try a halo rinse to see if that helps to add some shine

I'm really starting to hate my sleep cap. Despite putting it on as tight as possible (w/o giving myself a headache) I wake up with bits of hair smooshing out of it!!!

Ugh, my friend just told me to cut my hip+ length hair to shoulder length. What is it with people thinking they can do this? That was her response by the way, to me saying I'm still growing my hair but I might maintain at BCL to let some of my new growth catch up but that I certainly won't cut any shorter than hip length because I hate short hair on me... Grrr. Since she got her hair cut into a pixie and dyed random colours I swear she's pushier than ever about me cutting mine -.- She did 6 months of hairdressing training at local college before dropping out and since then she's picked up so many bad habits, she truly believes cutting hair makes it grow faster and that thin hair shouldn't be kept long! She's my friend and all but it's so frustrating!

I think as my hair grows I will slowly microtrim so I can grow my layers out ....my hair just feels sooooo dry lately, it almost feels as though my hair NEEDS a heavy oiling daily, I can't wait until I get my serums and NEW conditioners ON MONDAY...
