    Default Hair dryer/diffuser recs?

Hi friends, my hair dryer is giving up the ghost after 20 years of loyal diffusing service and I’m wondering what options you all would recommend? I really want a model with a large diffuser bowl, a solid “warm” setting, and plenty of airflow.

Tell me - what is your favorite? Or perhaps equally importantly, do you have one you really don’t like?

Try and look for a Dyson "dupe", aka a "brushed DC motor", that is key. It dries your hair, literally, in no time. It is so weird, and I still can't wrap my head around it as to how exactly it functions, but I am not going back to my "old" hair dryers! No way.

Will try this as my hair takes AGES to air dry and it's not even APL yet.

I have seen dupes on Amazon! I got my dryer (very slimline) + diffuser from Lidl, and my "styler" + diffuser head from Aldi. I had to be super early for the Aldi one (went the day before, just before closing and they sold it to me). Ordered the Lidl one online. That one was buried in all sorts of items, really "buried" in the vast crevices of their site. Hiding such a gem is a crime. LOL Both are absolutely amazing. Dries in no time and is super silent compared to the motor of a regular blow dryer. They all sort of have the same "system". A simple on/off button and the "thing" remembers its last setting. 2 buttons, one for speed, one for heat, and both can blow cool air (and it's really cool).

Yeah, love these, unbeatable. Very nice technology!

Each of these went for around the €50 mark, just so you have an idea. Don't spend much more than that! Look for a dupe in that range. It's just the kind of motor that counts, so do pay very close attention to that aspect of it.

I don't blow dry my hair very often, but I use the Conair InfinitiPRO SmoothWrap. It's on the smaller side, which was better for my storage situation and the size of my hands, and has a constant "cold" setting. The reviews said that it wouldn't heat up enough, which I took as a pro because if I do use one of the warmer settings it's not hot.

Super helpful advice - thank you, Lapushka and Mochi! I’ll start looking.
