Samples are great. You can try out products without paying full price, and if you dislike a product...no waste!
So, let's share any tips, websites, current offers, etc. for getting samples in this thread!

The only place I can think of where you can ask for samples is like Sephora or high(er) end department stores, but that's just for expensive makeup.... I've never asked for samples for hair products so I'm not sure if you can even do that?
I get a bunch whenever I order from Chatters, but like Lapushka said, you don't get to choose them or anything....they're usually just random items that I have no intention of trying and give to my sister anyway.
You can usually find a small assortment of travel sized generic products at drugstores and Walmart and stuff...I think Chatters (Canadian website) sells travel sizes for certain more expensive brands too.I've added a few Joico travel size bottles to my orders before, just to see if I liked that line...I think they were a few bucks each.

For a while I was a beauty advisor at CVS. We got samples of shampoos and stuff, for sure. They used to make me wear all black instead of the typical CVS uniform. ...Point being, it's worth asking, especially if your local store has a counter in the beauty department where they sell the more expensive skincare lines like Vichy.
Whole Foods sometimes has samples out in some discreet location in their health and beauty section. There is one by me that usually has a little bucket of samples under their essential oil diffuser display.
